DTX Toolbar Technology
DTX is an Ajax framework to develop toolbars and other extensions for mainstream Web browsers. This innovative architecture allows any Web developer to create toolbars with existing standard Web technologies such as JavaScript, XML, and CSS, following the Ajax pattern.

In addition, toolbars created with Dynamic Toolbar DTX are cross-platform. Because Dynamic Toolbar DTX relies on open Web standards, it is now possible to create a “stickier,” more engaging user experience, allowing the use of not only HTML, but also Flash, Adobe Air, and Silverlight.

Toolbar publishers can leverage their existing IT infrastructure and investments in Web technologies in order to cost-effectively create and manage toolbar applications. With looser boundaries between Web development and toolbar development, specific proprietary coding knowledge is not needed, making the development environment more flexible.
Dynamic Toolbar DTX contains these main modules:
- Runtime framework
- Build framework
- Standard features
- Apps
- Software development kit
